OUR STORY

Situated in Kiepersol (between White River and Hazyview R40), and founded in 1995 by Anton and Marianne Wood, who started delivering fresh produce to a few of the surrounding hotels and lodges. Their selling point at the time was personalised service and quality produce - this remains the same today.

From the days of delivering in a Toyota pick-up, Matumi has truly developed into a well known, reliable family run business. Distributing within the Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park as well as to select Spars and other businesses nationwide.

Matumi Fresh now currently runs a fleet of more than twenty trucks and light vehicles delivering Lowveld wide. We aim to uphold the values of honesty, integrity and loyalty. We want to be known for keeping our promises and for having our clients’ best interests at heart.

We know that all the best practices we could possibly implement, would be worthless without the right team to execute our vision. Our staff are integral in providing the best service to our clients. We choose the right people to get the job done.

Matumi deals in all aspects of fresh produce logistics as well as standard goods logistics. Operating from both Hazyview and Johannesburg allows us to procure imported goods as well as local produce. The dependable supply of fresh produce to the hospitality industry is were we started and we are 26 years strong in the industry.
